CADcompanion™ CADbrowser  for .DWG and .DXF Files v2000 and earlier
CADcompanion™ CADbrowser is a browser for .dwg and .dxf format files which has been designed to be run alongside Chief Architect® and other CAD programs. If you often import symbols or details - whether 2D or 3D - into Chief, CADcompanion™ CAD browser gives you the ability to browse through them all quickly and efficiently in a resizeable, one-window, format. If your drawings are later than v2000, batch convert them to v2000 for use with CADcompanion™ products.
Interface customization is especially important in a program which a user may want to run with a small footprint. As such, we've given CADbrowser editable and customizable toolbars - their positions can be rearranged, and infrequently used buttons can be deleted - as well as editable relative window sizes - the user can widen the file selection area to read long directory or file names and widen the display area to optimize viewing.
A Command Line speeds operation, and all commands can be invoked by toolbar buttons, through the menus, or by keyboard entry.
CADcompanion™ CADbrowser includes all the visualization options of the other CADcompanion browsers, plus Origin display tools, editable and customizable toolbars, and a configurable interface.

The window can be resized at will and positioned wherever desired.  Its size and location, and the relative sizes of its different parts, will be remembered when next opened.  Highlighting a file name in the selection box is all that's needed to display that file - no need for tedious Open and Close operations for each drawing.
